POSITION DESCRIPTION

Job Profile / Duties / Responsibilities:

The purpose of this position is to become an expert working on alarm panels, CCTV systems and Card Access Systems.

  • On-site installation and commissioning of systems
  • On-site service or preventative maintenance and inspections on security products, including Access Control, CCTV and Alarm
  • Make recommendations to improve security systems where needed
  • Perform corrective and preventative maintenance tasks as assigned

Job Requirements

  • An understanding of security system design and operational concepts
  • Ideal candidate will possess electronics-related diploma/certificate from a recognised post-secondary institution
  • Valid Driver's Licence and Clean Abstract Record
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, comfortable using hand and power tools
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative to learn about new products and systems
  • Excellent diagnostics, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for electronics, programming and system operation
  • Interpret blueprints, diagrams and technical manuals as necessary
  • Familiar with networking concepts and cable
